Special Notice to Pace Lighting Customers Regarding Fluorescent Light Bulbs

Pace Lighting is committed to providing unparalleled service and competitive pricing for all our customers. That being the case, we wanted to inform you of a challenging global situation concerning all fluorescent light bulbs.

Since the beginning of the year, the world market of “Rare Earth Elements” has experienced unprecedented increases in costs due to restrictions on mining and Chinese export sales limitations. Tri-phosphor powder is one of these rare earth elements, and phosphors are a required component of fluorescent technology & manufacturing. Phosphor costs have skyrocketed over 1000% in the last 90 days alone.

Over the last few weeks our manufacturers have notified us of price increases for T5 and T8 lamps averaging 12% and we will have to pass these increases on to you.

Effective July 8, 2011, Pace Lighting will have an interim price increase on the effected fluorescent lamps. Increases will vary depending on the type of fluorescent lamp. Any price quotes dated prior to July 1, 2011 need to be re-quoted. No other product categories are affected, but further price increases are expected in the coming months regarding fluorescent lamps.

Pace Lighting will work to keep up-to-date on the latest developments in this area. Please call (912-920-4090) or email (frankb@pacelighting.com) with any questions you have.

Thank you for your continued support & business!

Sincerely,
Frank Bartlett
